I write Chicago's oldest, active gardening blog. Over the years I've built an identity as an urban gardener that gardeners on both side of the industry trust. I've been featured in print & radio, written for publications like Lawn & Garden Retailer and the Chicago Tribune. Photographs of mine have been printed in publications ranging from Digital Camera Magazine in the UK , Northern Gardener and In These Times, and Sunset Magazine in the U.S. I speak on topics ranging from urban gardening, and seed saving to garden blogging and social media. In the past I've spoken at various garden clubs in Chicago, the Chicago Flower & Garden Show and the Green Metropolis Fair produced by Mindful Metropolis.

Currently, I'm the Creative Director of One Seed Chicago. An urban greening project that distributes free seeds to residents of my fair city in an effort to raise awareness about community gardens and inspire new gardeners. I love this gig because it combines all of my passions-the Internet, social media, marketing, seeds/gardening-and allows me to meet a lot of new people, see gardens and help make Chicago a little bit more green. In February 2012 I joined TreeHugger as a contributing writer.

mrbrownthumbI'm available for product reviews, consultations in: gardening, blogging, social media, content creation, residential, school/community gardens, and connecting brands with gardening communicators. Garden photos from my garden blog are available for licensing. There isn't much to see at this domain so enjoy the slideshow above and click the links above to find me on online.
